What route are we taking?
The route will be a great mix of unpaved roads, gravel, hilly sections, cobbled climbs, paths and some tarmac.
What are the distances I can choose from?
There are three stunning routes, you can choose between 60, 100 and 140 km.
We'll ride in two loops: a morning loop and afternoon loop. For the 60 km, there will only be a morning loop. After the morning loop you'll return to the festival area for a lunch burger or pasta (veggie too and it's included).
Where's the start and finish?
Start and finish are at De Chalet in Kemmel. This breathtaking domain is located in the beautiful Heuvelland at the foot of the Kemmelberg. This historic site comprises a unique country house in "cottage style" surrounded by lanes, beautiful walking paths, yew hedges, gardens, planted park with a great diversity of tree species, meadows, forests, flower meadows, wooded swamp, two artificial ponds, bridge and moat: a pleasant stay in greenery and tranquility with complete privacy.
Do I have to pick a distance when I register?
No, you can decide which route you will ride just before you start. Tired after lunch? You can pick a shorter loop after lunch also. It's all about flexiblity at Flanders Gravel.
Is the route signposted?
Yes, the route will be signposted.
Do we receive GPX files of the routes?
Yes, as a participant of Flanders Gravel Kemmelberg you can download the GPX files on
komoot. A week before the event you receive an email with a unique code. With this code you can unlock a Region Bundle for free (normally it's € 8.99) and you can download the GPX files.
